The National Monuments Service's description
Discovered by Windele in 1845 in Mountmusic townland; exact location not known (CO082-095----). McManus (2004, 10) recorded the stone as missing from UCC but his visit was prior to the conservation of the collection, which was carried out in 2006. McManus didn't include a 28th stone, which was actually this ogham stone, because it was lying prostrate on the ground with the inscription hidden. As noted by Macalister (1945, 131, no. 135), the inscription is in minute cuts and much worn. He read it as MINNACCANNI MAQI AILLUATTAN. Power (1932, 22, no. 24) read the first word as ANNACCANNI. There is a sunken maltese cross near the head of the pillar, inscribed some time after the ogham, which, according to Macalister (ibid.), interferes with the first two letters (MI). (Power et al. 1997, no. 7982)
