The National Monuments Service's description
This is the present location of an ogham stone (CO065-098----) that was found in a souterrain (CO065-032002-) in a ringfort (CO065-032001-) in Glenawillin, Co Cork in 1844. 'The dexter inscription, cut in fine lines, is much flaked' and was read by Macalister (1945, 66-7, no. 63) as COLOMAGNI AVI DUCURI and by McManus (2004, 20-1, no. 21) as COLOMAGNi [ ]V[ ]DU[ ]U... . 'The sinister inscription is punched in bold scores, and reads BRUSCO MAQI DOVALESCI' (McManus: BruSC[ ]DOVALeSC). A second ogham stone (CO065-033----) found in the same souterrain was re-erected within the townland on the site of 'another erased rath' (CO065-097----) (Atkinson 1883-84, 309).
