The National Monuments Service's description

Site of St Mary's church, in graveyard (CO074-03101-) at foot of Shandon Street. Built in 1696 (Brady 1863, 283) in place of earlier church of StMary's Shandon (see CO074-03301-), at top of Shandon Hill. Taken down in 1879 when present St. Mary's Shandon, situated in Sunday's Well, was consecrated (O'Shea 1943, 32). St. Anne's Shandon (CO074-03303-) now houses various monuments from St. Mary's. No visible surface trace; graveyard used as playground.
