The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, immediately N of stream valley and site of horizontal-wheeled mill (CO071-090002-). Depicted as hachured rectangular enclosure on 1842 OS 6-inch map; half hachured and half incorporated into field fence system on 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; no visible surface trace. According to Hartnett (1939, 102), 'rectangular fort' (164ft N-S; 98ft E-W), enclosed by stone-faced bank to E and S and scarp (H 4ft) to N and W.
