The National Monuments Service's description
Not marked on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps but shown within ruins of church (CO071-04002-) on 1938 OS 6-inch map. Area now covered with field-clearance stones and bullaun not visible. Noted by Hartnett (1947, 11) as stone (c. 24in xc. 48in) with hemispherical hollow (diam. c. 16in; D 4in) on upper surface; 'water which collects in it is believed locally to be effective in the curing of warts' (ibid.). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
