The National Monuments Service's description
This stone (L 4ft 1in) was recorded as one of 15 ogham stones (CO055-007002-; CO055-007005-; CO055-007018-) found covering a souterrain (CO055-007003-). It was lifted and read by Rev. E. Barry (1890, 518) in the 19th century and then replaced. The stone is recorded as having been moved to Lismore Castle (WA021-019023-) in 1920 (Power 1932, 11). It is unconfirmed as to whether it is still at this location. The inscription was read by Barry as BLATEGSI. Macalister (1945, 90, no. 91) initially read BLOTEGSI, but according to Barry the extra notch changing the reading was caused by crowbar damage after initial lifting. (Power et al. 1994, no. 4224)
