The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on E-facing slope, at edge of sharp drop down to E. Circular area (29m N-S; 28m E-W) defined by earthen stone-faced bank (max. H 1.6m). Bank planted with trees; stone facing in ruinous condition; remains of limekiln cut into external face to NNE. Gaps in bank to N (Wth 2.5m) and SW (Wth 2m). Possible souterrain (8964) in interior.
