The National Monuments Service's description
On N bank of Clyda river; roughly rectangular area (40m E-W; 30m N-S; see plan, Cotter 1994), enclosed by stone-faced earthen bank to N, E and W, river bank to S; earthen bank to W built in early 19th century (ibid.). Site cleared of overgrowth by local community in 1993 (ibid.). Foundations of stone wall run parallel to and inside W bank. Stone-lined, lintelled drain (W 0.2m; D 0.1m) built into river bank on W side of wall foundations; some lintels removed from drain and lying nearby. Church (9508) in N halfof graveyard; S half covered by low uninscribed gravemarkers set in lines. One large uninscribed slab (L 2m; Wth 0.7m) lying on surface, long axis WSW-ENE, may cover burial. Holed stone (9569) c. 40m to NW; tumulus (7864) in field c. 50m to W.
