The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture. Circular area (30m N-S; 30m E-W) enclosed by heavily overgrown, earthen bank (int. H 1.4m; ext. H 1.5m); external fosse (D 0.8m) SSE->NNW. Laneway skirts bank to NNE. Entrance (Wth 3.2m) to ESE; cattle gap to SSW. Coniferous trees planted outside fosse to S and SSW, with smaller concentration to W. According to Bowman (1934, 569), called Lisinteamhrach - Little fort of the Royal Palace.
