The National Monuments Service's description

On NE summit of Knockaroura. Remains of cairn (diam. c. 14.5m N-S, 13.5m E-W; H 0.5m), 1.5m inside perimeter of which stand series of radially set stones (0.55m-0.9m H). Old trigonometrical cairn (diam. 5m; H 1m) dominates N section. Traces of possible second cairn 20m to SW represented by spread of stones (5m x 4m; H 0.5m-1m). Possible third cairn recorded 70m to NE (11808).
