The National Monuments Service's description

Bowman (1934, 338) noted church and burial ground covering 'space, 50 yards by 25 yards', though only mound ('10yds by 6yds') remained, with disused road on E side known as 'Bothairín na gcorp' (ibid.). Overgrown low mound (L 9.5m) to E of fence and lane. Locally known as children's burial ground. No surface evidence for road on E side.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
