The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on W-facing slope. Circular slightly raised area (29.5m E-W; 29.7m N-S) enclosed by inner earthen bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.6m); intervening fosse; outer earthen bank (H 1.3m) SW->NW. Inner bank incorporated into field boundary system NNE->SE and heavily overgrown; grass-covered elsewhere. Intervening fosse (D c. 1m) survives best NNE->SE; shallow SE->SW and NW->NNE. Outer bank survives best to SW where overgrown with furze bushes; eroded elsewhere due to slippage. Drainage trench runs inside inner bank to E, cutting through bank to NNE and SE. Possible souterrain (CO030-226---) near fort.
