The National Monuments Service's description

Towards SW corner of graveyard (14603), within early ecclesiastical enclosure (13889). All that remains of church is small fragment of uncoursed limestone walling (c. 5m E-W), standing in small stony untilled area which is raised slightly above level of surrounding field. Windele, visiting in 1838 (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 3, 292), described two side walls standing, 2ft 10in thick, with no windows or door in either. Depicted as rectangular church on 1842, 1905 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps (c. 20m E-W; c. 8m N-S); described by Power (1932, 100) as c. 58ft long by 20ft wide, and in one compartment; Power (ibid.) saw S side wall standing to about 8ft, with one 'Irish (pre-Invasion) window', also small portion of W gable.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
