The National Monuments Service's description
In Kanturk, on N bank of the River Dalua. No standing remains of mill; site now occupied by town park. Sketch from S, dated 1900 (O'Sullivan 1984, 81), shows a long 4-storey mill (axis SW-NE) with a double-gable-end overlooking river to SW; side elevation (SE) had gable over central bay, and lean-to wheel house on NE side with tall protruding chimney stack. Early 19th-century mill, locally called Shradeen Mill (ibid., 80-3). Probably built on site of 17th-century mill owned by Sir Philip Percival (ibid.). Indicated on 1842 OS 6-inch map as rectangular structure, with millrace taken by weir from river c. 650m to NW and flowing through centre of building.
