The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Depicted as hachured roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, incorporated into townland boundary on N side. Levelled; circular area (c. 32.5m N-S; c. 32.5m E-W) defined by earthen bank (int. H 1.65m) NW->NE with external fosse; low earthen bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.5m) NE->NW with shallow external fosse (D 0.2m). Causewayed entrance (Wth 7.6m) to S. Linear slightly raised area (Wth 2m; L 43.5m) runs from centre of interior through causewayed entrance S into adjoining field; appears similar to levelled field boundary.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
