The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, atop steep E-facing scarp overlooking Dalua River. Site heavily overgrown. Traces of rectangular area (14m N-S) discernible, enclosed by low earth and stone bank, with external fosse (D 3.1m; Wth 15m) on N, S and W sides; overgrown mound of rubble (H 1.85m) on W side. Principal castle of the Mac Auliffes (Ó Murchadha 1985, 7).
