The National Monuments Service's description

Built against break in slope, immediately to NW of ringfort (12274). Random-rubble walls retain earthen core (c. 5.3m N-S; c. 6.2m E-W); remains of low wall to rear. Front elevation (E) has partially collapsed arched recess (H 1.52m; Wth 2.04m; D 2.2m), corbelled to rear with ope at base. Shallow depression (D 0.6m) on top indicates position of stone-lined funnel (diam. c. 2.4m).
