The National Monuments Service's description
Bowman (1934, 632) recorded 'Church Site (14504) and Burial Ground' in John Kelleher's land in a field called 'The Cill...Bones were found about 10 years ago when this field was being ploughed'. Field known by present landowner as containing children's burial ground. No visible surface trace of church or burial ground.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
