The National Monuments Service's description

It is likely that Castlebank House, which is a late 19th century remodeling of an earlier 18th century farmhouse, stands on the site of this castle. A keystone from a mantle piece decorated with the O'Brian coat of arms and dated 1578 (CL063-010001-) is built into the gable of the two-storey store outside the main entrance gate to the yard (see attached report).
