The National Monuments Service's description
On the N bank of the Shannon estuary adjacent to Quay Island. Described by O’Sullivan (2001, 305) as a post-medieval ‘large V-shaped or U-shaped fishtrap in estuarine clays at LWM, to SW of Quay Island. Flood fence oriented WNW-ESE, 45m in exposed length; shore fence oriented NW-SE, 30m in exposed length. February 1997.' (O'Sullivan 2001, 197, 199, 305, Quay Island 2)
