The National Monuments Service's description
In poorly drained, level rushy pasture, c. 0.5m to S of a land drain (long-axis E-W). Depicted and named 'Tobermochulla' on the 1840 edition of the OS 6-inch map, the 25-inch OS map and the 1921 edition OS 6-inch map. One of a number of holy wells by that name in the county. The well is an open, circular depression (diam. 0.5m; D 0.65m) lined with moss-covered stones to the sides and base. There is a loose flagstone (0.4m N-S; max. 0.5m E-W) situated c. 0.15m to S and a similar flagstone (0.55m N-S; max. 0.40m E-W) c. 0.2m to W of the well opening. An area (5m E-W; 3m N-S) is fenced off around the well.
