The National Monuments Service's description
On a gentle N-facing slope, in gently undulating pasture, with reasonable views of the surrounding landscape. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A roughly oval area (27m NNE-SSW; 30m WNW-ESE) defined by an earthen and stone bank (int. H 0.65m; ext. H 0.4m; Wth at top 3m; overall Wth 6m) which is best preserved WNW-ESE. The bank is reduced in height and width ESE-SSE (int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.35m; Wth at top 1m; overall Wth 2.9m) and is low in profile and very degraded SSE-WNW(int. H 0.05m; ext. H 0.25m; Wth at top 0.5m; overall Wth 2m). There are numerous large stones and smaller field clearance stones heaped on the bank intermittently. Thorn trees grow on the bank and around the perimeter of the interior. The interior is generally level with a slight tilt downslope to NE, having intermittent vegetation and loose field clearance stones within, as well as rock outcrop which is exposed in places. All adjoining field boundaries shown on the 1921 edition of the OS 6-inch map have been removed.
