The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a circular feature (diam. c. 40m) on the 1842 and 1921 eds. of the OS 6-inch map, towards the bottom of an E-facing slope. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). On inspection in 2000 the monument was not visible at ground level and an active quarry lay immediately to the W. The monument has since been completely quarried out.
