The National Monuments Service's description

On a S-facing slope, in pasture with reasonable views of a gently undulating landscape E-S-W and inhibited to S by slightly higher ground. The monument is largely obscured by dense briars and thorn trees. Depicted and named ‘Burial Ground for Children’ on the 1842 edition OS 6-inch map and ‘Children’s Burial Ground’ on later OS historic mapping. A long oval area (36m E-W; 19m N-S) defined by a low scarp (Wth 1.75m; H 0.55m) E-S-W which incorporates some large, moss-covered rocks. The monument has less definition on the upslope to N where there is a scarp although moss-covered rocks can be detected beneath the dense briar cover. The interior of the monument is largely inaccessible due to thorn trees and briars. A small area at the S edge is accessible where livestock have made a small path. This portion of the interior has a gentle S-facing slope and is raised (H 0.55m) above surrounding ground level. Numerous moss-covered rocks protrude above the surface and may indicate burials.
