The National Monuments Service's description

In level pasture c. 110m S of Lough George. Hachured on both the first (1842) and Cassini (1916) editions of the OS 6-inch map. Classified as an ‘enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). Described by Westropp (1913, 242) as a ‘cathair’ with a ‘wall 6 feet [c. 1.8m] thick to the west, where it is only 3 feet [c. 0.9m] high and 10 feet [c. 3m] thick, and over 4 feet high[c. 1.2m] to the east. The north and north-west parts are levelled to the foundations, which are large blocks’. A poorly preserved subcircular cashel (int. diam. 33m), much reduced since Westropp’s visit, defined by a wide low bank (Wth 2-5m; ext. H 1m; int. H 1.2m) from E-S-W.  The bank incorporates some large stones blocks (L 1.5m; Wth 1m; D 0.5m), the surviving remains of original cashel walling. The interior is slightly lower than the surrounding ground level.
