The National Monuments Service's description

In mixed outcropping rock and scrub on the NW shore of Lough George, near the landward end of a peninsula extending E into the lake. This poorly preserved rectangular structure (int. dims. 11.05m NE-SW; c. 5m NW-SE) is defined by stone walls which are clearest at SW (Wth 1.15m; max. H 1.8m). The NE sidewall (Wth 1.05m) has rubble piled against both faces (H 1.4m) . An internal wall (Wth 0.9m) runs NW-SE dividing the structure into two rooms (SW room L 5.45m; NE room L 4.7m NE-SW). Ua Cróinín and Breen (1997) suggest that this building may have been a hall. There are two other 16th/17th-century houses adjacent: one (CL017-053----) c. 7m to the SSE and another (CL017-053003-) c. 25m to the ENE.
