The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture, on an elevated area, on the lower W-facing slope of an E-W ridge named 'Knockloon'. There are excellent views of the surrounding landscape S-NE. Identified on Digital Globe satellite aerial photography. The monument consists of a roughly oval area (21m N-S; 18m E-W) defined by a well-formed scarp (Wth 3.6m; H 0.85m) SSE-N. It is cut into the W-facing hillslope N-SSE, where there is an inner scarp (Wth 3m; H 0.85m). The interior has a gentle W-facing slope across the S-half and is flat across the N-half. The monument is bisected by a field boundary (long-axis E-W). A second field boundary (long-axis N-S) bisects the N-half at a right angle to the E-W field boundary. A distinct limestone erratic is located c. 7m to NW and a second, smaller rock is located a similar distance to WNW. A ring-barrow (CL016-037----) lies 210m to the E at the top of the ridge.
