The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on top of Knockloon Hill, c. 40m E of a ring-barrow (CL016-137----) and c. 12m E of another enclosure . A circular enclosure partially revealed as a geophysical anomaly by the Irish Fieldschool of Prehistoric Archeology (NUIG) and partially excavated in 2018 (Ó Maoldúin 2020). The enclosure manifested as an enclosure c. 18m in diameter defined by a 1m wide ditch with a possible entrance at E. The excavations are not complete and it is intended to continue in due course.
