The National Monuments Service's description
On a gentle S and W facing slope within a field system (CL009-059001-). This rectangular cashel (ext. dims. 38.8m N-S; 34.5m E-W) is defined by a stone spread (Wth 3.6-7m; general ext. H 0.5-1m), which is highest on the W side (max. ext. H 1.8m) but barely rises above the interior (max. int. H 0.2m). Intermittent traces of the outer wall-face survive all round. A gap (Wth 2.2m) in the S wall, c. 0.8m from the SE corner, may mark the entrance. A large cairn (10.65m N-S; 10.5m E-W) occupies the SE corner. An ill-defined central open area (3.9m E-W; 2-3m N-S) within it could possible indicate a chamber that defended the entrance but no wall-footings were evident. There is a souterrain (CL016-020025-) in the E sector of the interior.
