The National Monuments Service's description

On the summit of a gorse-covered hillock in marshy pasture c. 35m NE of a stream. Hachured on the 1840 and 1916 OS 6-inch maps with a small structure depicted in the NW quadrant. A heavily overgrown subcircular cashel (diam. c. 25-30m) defined by a stone and earth scarp (H 0.35m). Sections of drystone wall can be seen in the overgrown interior, possibly the remains of the walls depicted on the OS 6-inch maps.
