The National Monuments Service's description
In marshy pasture on the summit of a prominent hillock with clear views in all directions. Hachured on the 1840 and 1916 eds. OS 6-inch maps and named ‘Liscooleen’ on the latter map. A rath (29m N-S; 26.25m E-W) defined by a bank (ext. H 1-2.5m), a fosse (Wth 1m), with an outer bank (L 7m; Wth 2m; H 0.6m) at SSE, and an outer scarp with stones along its edge from W to NE forming a berm (Wth 3.5m). The inner bank is lowest at SE, and the outer bank may form part of an entrance feature here. Quarrying of the bank is evident at SW. The interior is flat with a dense covering of rushes.
