The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture on the summit of a prominent hillock bounded by the Cooleen River to the W and S and a stream to the E, with excellent views in all directions. Hachured on the 1840 and 1916 OS 6-inch maps. An oval platform (15.75m N-S; 19.25m E-W; H 1m), enclosed by a low earth and stone bank from S to NW (Wth 1m; int. H 0.15m), and a level berm (Wth 4.5-5m) at NW and SE. A single course of stone facing (H 0.3m) is present intermittently along the outer edge of the platform. There is a subrectangular mound (CL015-022002-) near the centre of the interior and a C-shaped bank (Wth 0.9m; H 0.1m) abutting the bank in the SW quadrant. Both may represent internal buildings.
