The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in a flat area of open karst. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). Indicated as ‘fort’ on a set of annotated maps in 1994 (pers. comm. T. Coffey, SMR file). On inspection in 1999 this was found to be a subrectangular enclosure (dims. c. 29m N-S; c. 22m E-W) of apparently modern construction defined by a drystone wall.
