The National Monuments Service's description

On a low rise near the SE edge of a semi-karst plateau with a cliff c. 35m to the SE and also commanding wide views over lower ground to the W. In rough pasture within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL010-064001-). One of two cairns hachured and named ‘Carns’ on the 1897 OS 25-inch plan and the 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map (see CL010-064036- c. 60m to the SW). This low subcircular cairn (diam. 5-5.5m; H 0.6-1m) is covered in grass except on the N side where the cairn stones are visible.
