The National Monuments Service's description
In a shallow depression on a N-facing slope at the edge of a plateau, in a multiperiod field system (CL009-021001-), with an E–W ravine c. 115m to the N. A subcircular area (int. dims. 8.4m E–W; 7.8m N–S; ext. dims. 12.4m N–S; 11.5m E–W) defined by a double-faced wall which is only visible at the W (Wth 1.2m) and elsewhere by a bank (Wth 2–2.3m; int. H 0.4–0.6m; avg. ext. H 0.4m; ext. H at N 0.8m) in which occasional facing-stones can be seen. The entrance is not traceable.
A grass-covered field bank extends W from the NW side of the hut site to the perimeter of an enclosure (CL009-021016-) c. 19m to the W. Other field banks radiate out from this hut site at the E and SW, forming part of a large multiperiod field system (CL009-021001-). Among the numerous enclosures, houses, hut sites and cairns in this vicinity dating from prehistoric to post-medieval periods (Grant 2010, 47) there is an enclosure (CL009-021025-) c. 65m to the S; within it are a prehistoric house (CL009-021021-), a second possible house (CL009-021035-) and burial cairn (CL009-021020-). Another enclosure lies c. 88m to the NW (CL009-021005-).
