The National Monuments Service's description

In a shallow depression on a N-facing slope at the edge of a plateau, in a multiperiod field system (CL009-021001-), with an E–W ravine c. 115m to the N. An oval sunken area (int. dims. 10.6m NW–SE; 9.3m NE–SW; ext. dims. 13m NE–SW; 12.1m NW–SE) defined by a scarp (Wth 0.5–3m; H 0.3–0.4m). An outer bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.4m) is traceable at the top of the scarp from WNW to ENE; elsewhere the bank is very ephemeral (max. H 0.1m). A later drystone field boundary has been built at the top of the scarp at the S. The S part of the interior is higher due to an E–W step (H 0.3m; Wth 0.5m) in the bedrock.

A grass-covered field bank extends E from the E side of the enclosure to the perimeter of a hut site (CL009-021017-) c. 19m to the E. There is a dense concentration of enclosures, houses, hut sites, cairns and associated field boundaries in this area, dating from prehistoric to post-medieval periods (Grant 2010, 47). An enclosure (CL009-021025-) lies c. 75m to the SSE; within it are a prehistoric house (CL009-021021-) , a second possible house site (CL009-021032-) and a burial cairn (CL009-021020-). Other enclosures lie c. 77m to the NNW (CL009-021005-) and c. 107m to the WNW (CL009-234----).
