The National Monuments Service's description
At the N edge of a plateau, in an area which is densely overgrown with hazel and blackthorn, within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-001001-). Marked on 1842 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a roughly circular hachured enclosure (diam. c. 27m). The townland boundary runs around it from NNE to SE. Due to the dense overgrowth, this monument could not be located during two field visits in September and October 1998 nor in subsequent examinations of satellite imagery (Digital Globe 2011–2013; Aerial Premium 2013–2018). It may have been levelled. Two cashels (CL009-001018-; CL009-001019-) lie c. 150m and c. 112m to the WNW and SW respectively. It is possible that this monument was also a cashel.
