The National Monuments Service's description

At the E edge of a plateau with lower ground to the E. Hachured on the 1842 and 1920 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). A small almost completely circular cashel (24.9m N–S; 24.6m E–W) defined by a double-faced stone wall (Wth 1.5-1.7m; ext. H 0.7–1m). Both wall-faces can be traced all round. The outer face is better preserved but some spill occurs at N and S. The inner face is almost flush with the level of the interior and is best preserved at S and W. A possible break (Wth 1.3m) in the upper wall surface at W may mark the entrance. Just to the S of this is a discarded lintel (L 1.75m; Wth 0.2m; T 0.2m). The interior slopes slightly to the W. Six collapsed and overgrown field walls that abut the cashel from NNW to SW may be associated with it. Another cashel (CL009-001018-) lies c. 77m to the NW and there is an enclosure (CL009-001022-) c. 105m to the NE.
