The National Monuments Service's description

At the edge of a rocky shelf in pasture, jutting NW from a NW-facing slope. Within a large multiperiod field system (CL008-109001-). A subcircular cashel (c. 35.5m E-W; 33.5m N-S) defined by an overgrown stone wall is visible in aerial imagery (Digital Globe 2011-2013; OSi MapGenie 2013-2018). The site is defended from S to NNW by a natural craggy bluff.
