The National Monuments Service's description
Near the top of a S-facing slope in the W corner of a large coniferous tree plantation. Hachured on the 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the RMP (1996). This subcircular rath (int. dims. 30m E-W; 28.5m N-S) is defined by a low round-topped bank (Wth 6-8m; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 1.9m) from E-W and an external flat-based fosse (Wth c. 6m), which is traceable from NE-W. Outside the fosse at S an outer bank (Wth c. 8m; int. H 1.9m; ext. H 0.1m) can be detected, although conifers are planted on it. At NNE a brambled-covered gap (Wth 8m) in the inner bank may be an entrance or, more likely, the result of a later attempt at levelling. From NNW-N the enclosing elements have been dug away. The wet undulating interior slopes gently to NE.
