The National Monuments Service's description
On a long broad terrace on the W-facing slope of Turloughmore Mountain. A compact, roughly crescent-shaped mound (c. 10m E−W; c. 8m N−S) with a shallow, poorly defined hollow on the SW side facing a spring. It is composed of heat-shattered limestone fragments in dark grey soil, visible where portions of the mound have been eroded by cattle accessing the spring. The mound is somewhat asymmetrical in shape. The NW−E portion is more substantial, higher (H 0.75m) and well defined, with the E side abutting a rising rocky scarp. The W portion of the mound forms a low flat-topped spread (0.25m at W edge), bordered at SW by a low, partly sod-covered boulder/rock outcrop.
