The National Monuments Service's description

At the S foot of low cliff (H 4m) at N end of narrow terrace (Wth c. 100m) of outcropping rock and rough grazing, at the S end of the Slievecarran Plateau. A low artificially raised and retained platform (H 1.2m over S) into which a well-preserved souterrain (CL006-048001-) is built. The platform is retained along its S face by large cashel-like stones. A cashel (CL006-135001-) and circular hut site (CL006-135002-) lie c. 100m to SSW.
