The National Monuments Service's description

On a gentle E-facing slope with a sharp fall into a shallow hazel-filled valley immediately to the E. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A poorly preserved subcircular cashel (int. dims. 37m N–S; 36m E–W) defined by a low grassed-over and generally narrow-topped stone spread (Wth 2.9–4.5m; ext. H 0.1–0.7m; int. H 0.3–0.4m) with occasional inner and outer facing-stones projecting through the sod cover, but with none opposite or close enough to one another to give an accurate wall thickness. At SSW a short arc (L 3m) of bedrock forms part of the enclosing element and this feature is repeated at WNW but over a shorter distance (L 1m). There is no obvious trace of an original entrance. Grassed-over field walls extend E and W off its exterior.
