The National Monuments Service's description

In flat area on a SW-facing slope in reclaimed pasture near the foot of Cappanawalla Hill with commanding views from S to NW. Indicated as an enclosure on the 1916 OS 6-inch map. An oval cashel (18m NE-SW; 12m NW-SE), defined by a bank of stone and earth (Wth 2-3.8m; int. H 0.7-1m; ext. H 0.7-0.9m). Another cashel (CL005-200----) is conjoined at SW. The interior is flat with no clear entrance. The bank is surmounted by a modern wall and supports scrubby growth along its NW side. Lismacteige rath (CL005-021----) lies c. 78m to the W.
