The National Monuments Service's description

In rocky pasture, on the S-facing slope of a hill with clear views to E and S and within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL005-160001-).Indicated as an enclosure on the 1916 OS 6-inch map. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ on the RMP (1996). A subcircular cashel (21m NW-SE; 20.5m NE-SW) defined by a partially collapsed drystone wall (Wth 2-2.2m). The outer wall-facing survives intermittently and is highest at WNW (H 0.5-1.1m).  No inner wall-facing survives. The entrance is to the N (Wth 0.7m) and is defined by a jambstone (H 0.9m) on its E side with possible masonry facing on its W side. The interior slopes gently down to the S and there are no visible internal features. A drystone field wall is superimposed on the monument from SE to NE, and continues E forming an enclosure abutting the E side of the cashel.
