The National Monuments Service's description

Situated at the base of a fairly steep rocky ridge with restricted visibility. Listed as ‘Rectangular enclosure, possible’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996) and visible as a large field on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map. On inspection in 1998 this was found to be a roughly rectangular area (c. 58m NW-SE; c. 67m SW-NE) defined by an apparently modern drystone wall with the remains of a rectangular building in the SE corner and an area (diam. c. 26m) delimited by a curving modern wall in the SW corner.
