The National Monuments Service's description

On a raised area of rough pasture with views to all sides, within a multiperiod field system (CL005-115001-). Indicated as a field on the 1842 and 1916 OS 6-inch maps. A roughly circular cashel (30m E-W; 27.5m N-S) defined by a stone wall (Wth 2.3m; H 0.5-1m) with some inner and outer wall-facing. A gap at E (Wth 0.6m) is lined by an orthostat (H 1m) on its N side and another gap at SW (Wth 1.1m) is lined by one on its S side (H 0.3m). Later walls run over many of the original facing stones. A rectangular house site (CL005-115017-) is located in its W sector.
