The National Monuments Service's description
On a level terrace in a SE-facing slope in rough pasture and hazel scrub. Indicated on the Cassini edition (1916) of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as an enclosure in the RMP (1996).
A subcircular cashel (29m E-W; 25m N-S) is defined from SE clockwise to E by an externally faced wall (Wth 1.6m; ext. H 0.4-1.3m) and at ESE by a stone spread (Wth 3m). A later field wall overlies the original enclosing wall W-N-E, and a low point in the wall at E (Wth 1.2m) may mark the original entrance.
The interior contains two possible hut sites; one abutting the enclosing wall at E (CL005-085001-) and the second (CL005-085002-) abutting the enclosing wall at SW.
A second cashel (CL005-084----) is located c. 70 to the S.
