The National Monuments Service's description
On a gentle downslope near the E foot of the Caher valley surrounded by rough grazing with some improved pasture to the W, within a multiperiod field system (CL005-014001-). Hachured and named ‘Lislarheen Caher’ on the 1840 and 1916 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as an ‘enclosure’ in the RMP (1996).
A poorly preserved oval cashel (ext. dims. 30.4m E-W; 27.5m N-S) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 0.8-3.1m; ext. H 0.3-0.6m; int. H 0-0.5m) with intermittently visible outer facing-stones and no obviously discernible entrance. A small N-S road, flanked by low stone walls, cuts through the E side and several clearance cairns fill the interior. Another late wall runs on the line of the enclosure at N and a small rectangular hut abuts the outer face at ESE.
