The National Monuments Service's description

On a short, low, level spur projecting NE into the Caher valley and surrounded by reclaimed pastureland except between E and S which is still rough grazing and outcropping rock, within a multiperiod field system (CL005-016001-). Hachured on the 1840 OS 6-inch map and indicated on the 1916 ed. Listed as an ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996).

A very poorly preserved circular cashel (int. dims. 23.9m E-W; 22.8m N-S) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 2.1-3.3m; int. H 0.4-0.7m) with intermittent outer-facing stones from N to WNW and an entrance gap (Wth 1.6m) at E, with two thin slabs (max. H 1.3m) lining its southern side. A souterrain (CL005-065002-) and a collapsed structure (CL005-065003-) are located in the SW sector. Another cashel (CL005-066----) - Lislarheen Caher – is located c. 220m to the ENE.
